Sha’Carri Richardson won his most memorable individual race of the 2023 Olympic-style eventing season in a windy weather time of 10.77 seconds at the Miramar Invitational on Saturday.
Richardson finished the 100 m in Miramar, Fla., with an official season best of 10.57 seconds. However, when seen in the air, it becomes 10.77 seconds. Her time, without considering the wind component, marks the third-fastest 100 m ever, sitting behind Elaine Thompson-Herrah in 1992 (10.54 seconds) and Florence Griffith-Joyner (10.49) in ’59.
The 23-year-old ran her most memorable race last Saturday in the 4×100 at Texas Transfer in Austin, TX, where she finished second. Richardson’s race comes nearly 10 months after she reached the finals of the 100m and 200m at the USA Outside Olympic-style sports titles.
Thus, he did not participate in the 2022 World Sports Titles. In 2021, Richardson won the women’s 100 meters in the US Olympic-style events with a time of 10.86, but was suspended for one month by the US Hostile to Doping Organization after testing positive for Marijuana. The suspension actually barred her from participating in the Tokyo Olympics.
